Now that I have a web address will they find me?

Sorry but the likelihood of them doing so for most of us is about as good as finding the proverbial pin in the haystack !

If you do not do anything at all to market your website and you do not optimise it around you keywords than you are in competition with possibly millions of other websites - some of whom are working hard at marketing themselves to boost their search engine ranking results.

You see as much as the search engines do for scouring the internet for sites and their pages, you need to assist your own efforts in being found and take certain responsibilities to ensure that the search engines know you exist.

Once they know you exist they really need to understand why you exist. Sure there is the content in your pages but the search engines also pay attention to a number of other factors in order to establish the relevancy of your site.

Your web developer will need to take some responsibility here on your behalf so question them about what they do to ensure that your site is search engine friendly, and what they do to assist your site in being found.

If you wish to understand this better contact us and we are happy to explain.
